Dilemma Nights are an evening social where you take on the role of a humanitarian practitioner facing a series of ethical dilemmas. Each scenario is based on real-world challenges and asks: What would you do?
Whether you are new to the humanitarian sector or an experienced veteran, the evening aims to challenge your perceptions and choices around the core humanitarian principles of humanity, independence, neutrality, and impartiality.
Expect ethical dilemmas, meaningful conversations and choices that will shape your effectiveness as a humanitarian practitioner.

All registrations for this course are final. Due to the logistics involved in planning this event, we follow the refund structure below:
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 14 days from the event date, including no-shows on event day.
Registrations are non-transferable and may not be reassigned to another individual.
In the event of postponement or cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances (including but not limited to severe weather, safety concerns, or public health restrictions), the organising team will communicate alternative arrangements or potential partial refunds at their discretion.

Facilitator Bios
Nadim van der Ros
Nadim van der Ros is a dedicated humanitarian with over a decade of experience working with social organisations and has been volunteering with Singapore Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity and the SAF Volunteer Corps. He is an ALCP-certified trainer and facilitator, volunteering as a first aid instructor and Overseas Disaster Deployment Training trainer for Singapore Red Cross. He has led humanitarian missions to Batam, Sri Lanka and Egypt. He also serves as an Auxiliary Security Trooper for the SAFVC and leads an active extra curricular community for that body.
Thanusha Raj
Thanusha Raj is a communications educator and facilitator with over a decade of experience across corporate, academic, and community settings. Her teaching interests focus primarily on interpersonal communication and applied ethics. She is currently a Teaching Fellow at Singapore Management University, where she teaches writing and reasoning. Thanusha has also delivered workshops on emotional intelligence and developing growth mindsets to adult learners from vulnerable communities - including individuals who are formerly or currently incarcerated. Her earlier work in regional marketing communications for a multinational corporation informs her practical, values-driven approach to teaching, grounded in both real-world insight and academic rigour.
