We’re part of Vector Volunteer Services (VVS), an nonprofit dedicated to empowering practitioners for mission success and strengthening communities through volunteer excellence. VVS focuses on three priorities:

What is HADR?

HADR stands for Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Response. It covers the range of activities that help communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters - from emergency relief and health support to logistics, coordination, and long-term recovery planning.

HADR is not just about reacting when disaster strikes. It’s about being ready before it happens, working together during the crisis, and supporting communities long after the headlines fade.

Disasters are increasing in both number and severity. The gap in resources for humanitarian missions is large, and competent practitioners remain one of the most underdeveloped resources in the sector.
