Terms and Conditions of Participation
missionReady Workshops

1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions of Participation (“Terms”) govern participation in the missionReady Workshop (“Workshop”) organised by Vector Volunteer Services Limited (“VVS”).
By registering for, attending, or participating in the Workshop, participants agree to comply with these Terms, together with the applicable policies and codes published on goHADR.com.
For participants below 18 years of age, registration and participation are subject to consent from a parent or legal guardian.
2. Nature of the Workshop
The missionReady Workshop is an educational and training programme intended to introduce participants to humanitarian operations concepts through activities such as:
classroom learning;
facilitated discussions;
team-based exercises;
simulations; and
collaborative problem-solving activities.
The Workshop is conducted for educational and developmental purposes only.
Participation in the Workshop does not constitute:
operational deployment certification;
professional accreditation;
employment;
field qualification; or
acceptance into future humanitarian operations or programmes.
3. Eligibility & Participation
Participants must:
complete the required registration process;
provide accurate and complete information;
comply with all Workshop instructions and safety requirements; and
conduct themselves respectfully and responsibly throughout the Workshop.
VVS reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate participation where a participant:
provides false or misleading information;
behaves in a disruptive, unsafe, inappropriate, or unlawful manner; or
fails to comply with Workshop instructions, policies, or applicable codes of conduct.
Participants below 18 years of age must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian prior to participation.
4. Participant Conduct
Participants are expected to:
behave respectfully towards all participants, facilitators, staff, volunteers, and partners;
contribute to a safe and constructive learning environment;
comply with all applicable safety instructions and venue requirements; and
comply with the applicable VVS and goHADR Codes of Conduct.
Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, abusive behaviour, unsafe conduct, or deliberate disruption will not be tolerated.
VVS reserves the right to remove participants from the Workshop where necessary to maintain safety, order, or the integrity of the programme.
5. Assumption of Risk
Participation in Workshop activities may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
accidental injury;
illness;
physical exertion;
emotional stress during simulations or discussions; and
loss or damage to personal property.
Participants voluntarily accept these risks and are responsible for exercising reasonable care for their own wellbeing and personal belongings during participation.
While VVS will take reasonable measures to support a safe learning environment, participants remain responsible for their own actions and decisions during the Workshop.
6. Medical and Emergency Matters
Participants are responsible for disclosing any known medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or other matters that may affect safe participation in the Workshop.
In the event of illness, injury, or emergency during the Workshop, VVS personnel may seek appropriate medical assistance where reasonably necessary.
Any associated medical, transport, or related costs remain the responsibility of the participant and/or their parent or legal guardian.
7. Media and Documentation
Photography, video recording, and other media capture may occur during the Workshop for purposes including:
education;
documentation;
reporting;
archival use; and
promotional or public communications relating to VVS, goHADR, or associated programmes.
By participating in the Workshop, participants acknowledge and consent to such media capture and use.
Where reasonably practicable, requests to discontinue future use of identifiable images may be considered. However, materials already published, distributed, or produced may continue to remain in circulation.
8. Personal Data
Personal data collected in connection with Workshop registration and participation may be collected, used, stored, and disclosed for purposes including:
administration of the Workshop;
participant communication;
operational coordination;
safety and emergency management;
programme evaluation;
documentation and reporting; and
future programme communications where permitted.
All personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable Singapore laws and the VVS/goHADR Privacy Policy.
9. Media and Documentation
The Workshop may involve venues, service providers, facilitators, partners, or other third parties.
Such third parties operate independently and are not agents of VVS unless expressly stated otherwise.
VVS is not responsible for the acts, omissions, services, or failures of third-party providers or external venues.
10. Changes, Suspension, or Cancellation
VVS reserves the right to:
modify Workshop schedules or activities;
change facilitators or venues;
suspend or postpone activities; or
cancel the Workshop,
where reasonably necessary due to operational, safety, logistical, or unforeseen circumstances.
Where practicable, participants will be informed of material changes.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VVS and its officers, employees, volunteers, facilitators, representatives, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss or damage arising from or in connection with participation in the Workshop.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability which cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms apply specifically to participation in the missionReady Workshop and should be read together with the applicable policies referenced above.
